KUALA LUMPUR: PAS Youth urges The Star newspaper to apologize and withdraw the article that linked the late Ibrahim Libya as terrorist within three days.
PAS Youth chief, Nasrudin Hassan said, The Star needs to act immediately in the period given before legal action is taken as it has slandered an ulama respected by the people.
"Labelling Ustaz Ibrahim as a criminal and is slander and unfounded.
"We condemn The Star for broadcasting such an article that can be seen as insulting a respected scholar.
"For its action, we urge The Star to retract the story and publicly apologize to the family and all the people of Malaysia within this three days, failing which legal action would be initiated, "he said in the parliament lobby.
Also present during the press conference were Pasir Mas parliamentarian, Nik Abduh Nik Abdul Aziz Mohamad and Kuala Nerus parliamentarian, Dr Khairuddin Aman Razali.
